I’m Elizabeth Gumb,
personal stylist and mother of THREE in charleston, sc.
The Well Coiffed Closet Charleston branch was officially launched in March of 2013 at an opening party at Hampden Clothing. As the first stylist to come on board with Megan in the fall of 2012, Elizabeth Gumb has been in charge of building The Well Coiffed Closet in Charleston. From there, her client list has grown to also include a roster in New York, New Hampshire, and Lyford Cay, Bahamas.
Elizabeth’s love of personal styling has allowed her to run the gamut of being featured on a Live 5 News styling segment, writing Wearable Art columns for The Art Mag, and being featured in The Scout Guide Charleston. She has enjoyed partnering with various businesses and people such as Morgan Hutchinson of Shop BURU, Cynthia Rowley herself for a personal shopping event at her King St. Boutique, and Calypso St. Barth. Elizabeth has also given talks for a South Carolina Women’s Law Association luncheon and a Cardiologist Wives’ night, and emceed a fashion show for Les Dames of the Country Club of Charleston.
Most recently, Elizabeth completed a project that was featured in Charleston Home and Design Magazine, where she masterminded turning a marble guest room into a jewel-box dressing room. It is one of her proudest accomplishments thus far.
To Elizabeth, personal styling is an art of getting to know a client’s style, shopping habits, and personality, and using that knowledge to find the person’s ‘best beautiful’. She wants it to be a just as much of a learning experience for them as it is for her, so that they can regain the confidence to look, shop, and feel their best. And really she just wants her clients to walk our their door everyday with a smile on their face.
In her downtime, she enjoys being with her family on Wild Dunes and spending time with her realtor husband, Jack, and loving on her two sons Jack and Myers, and daughter Ellis, who Elizabeth hopes one day will love to shop as much as her mom!
